U2 finally accepts that they dumped Apple for Blackberry!
Thursday, April 9th, 2009

From past several weeks, the collaboration of U2 with Blackberry was unanswered and the speculators were hoping that probably they might even come back to Apple in future, but finally Bono accepted that they’ve officially dumped Apple and joined hands with Blackberry.
When they were asked to comment on the reason behind this, Bono explained that they like the work ethics of Research in Motion, and they feel they can do much better along with Blackberry because they were sick and tired of Apple’s privacy issues, restriction from access to their pvt labs, their people and literally everything.
U2 have had a good collaboration with Apple for several years, when they advertised for the Apple iPods in their music shows, and Apple was their main sponsor for quite sometime. Apple had even featured U2 special edition iPods and they were planning to use their brand for their upcoming releases as well. However, Bon decided they had enough of private collaboration, and they now wanted to team up with someone who could let them be a part of the development team and also show them what’s going on in their research centres.
Although, Bon accepted that there were no other differences between the music band U2 and Apple, because of which they decided to shift to BlackBerry. However, speculators believe that U2 saw Blackberry taking the stronghold in the market with their latest release line-up this year, and decided to hold the hands of the superior power.
Only time can tell how smart was this decision, and how it would impact both Apple Inc. as well as U2 in the upcoming times, as of now, all we know is that Apple is happy to work secretly inside their labs, and U2 with Blackberry for good.
