Movies for Men

It seems lately that more and more movies are intended for the dating scene. This has lead to less and less movies for men to watch. I wanted to go back and look at some of the best movies for men to enjoy when away from the women.
To start the list I went way back to Top Gun. This is before Tom Cruise went crazy so it still counts. First this movie was once the standard that all men needed to test their surround sound system with. This alone makes it a must own. Also, no other movie lets you experience the thrill of jet planes racing through the air. Most of the characters have become part of movie lore. Also all of the careers it helped launch are legendary. Tom Cruise might have lost his mind but this movie still stands the test of time.
Next on the list is Tombstone. Every boy at one time in their life wanted to live in the old west. Wyatt Earp is a legend that will last the test of time. There have been many movies about Wyatt Earp and the town of Tombstone but none like the movie that holds the name Tombstone. Kurt Russell led the movie as Wyatt Earp but the role of Doc Holiday was played to its best by Val Kilmer. If you think I’m wrong see if you can turn away next time it’s on TV and you have nothing to do.
Scarface is another movie that goes down in history for men. Al Pacino playing Tony Montana was classic. Who can forget the line “Say hello to my leetle friend”? Drugs, sex and money are the keys to more movies throughout the years. Miami might not have been as crazy as Scarface made it out to be but it did not mean people weren’t trying.
Die Hard is a series of movies that seems might never go away. The original is still far and beyond the best that ever held the name. A generation of teens starting embarrassing their parents by saying “Yippee-ki-yay, mother-f***er!”. All Americans can agree that it is always a great plot when an American can kill of a large amount of Germans. While some of the sequels did not equal, the original is here to stay.
Need a movie to wrap your brain around for the whole time? Fight Club had you guessing to the end and made you watch again to find out all the details. Brad Pitt and Edward Norton interacting together as the same person made you scratch your head and ask for more at the same time. Has any other movie lead on a new wave as Fight Club did with MMA?
No list of top movies of any kind can be complete without The Godfather. I could go on for hours on this one alone. I’ll sum it up with maybe the best movie of all time “I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse.”
While the box office might leave us asking for more, these movies will keep you coming back time and time again.
What’s your top movies on top of your head?
