The Worst Ways To Break Up With a Woman

As everyone knows, not all relationships last and there may come a time when you will have to break up with a girlfriend. There are right ways to break up with a girlfriend and there are wrong ways to break up with a girlfriend. Certain men may disagree with women on the wrong ways, but here is a list compiled of the top 5 ways a man should not break up with his woman.

1. By Text Message or Email
There is no woman who wants to read that her boyfriend is breaking up with her over a text message or an email. Text message is probably one of the worst ways to break up with a girlfriend, being that you can’t truly express your feelings when you are writing in abbreviated words and only have a certain length to express why you are breaking up with her. Never ever just text a woman saying “We R Done, ” or “I’m Seeing Some1 Else,” or anything of that nature. Also, email is not the best idea either as woman need closure. They can’t get closure on a relationship from an email. They need to hear it from your mouth, no matter how hard it is, that you are breaking up with them. We need to know reasons why and not a lousy email. If you are breaking up with a girlfriend, then at least be man enough to tell it to her and not hide behind a text message or email.
2. By Completely Avoiding Her
Like mentioned before, woman need closure. We will be calling you everyday, most likely multiple times a day if you just avoid us. Give us the respect that we deserve and let us know you are breaking up with us instead of just avoiding us and hoping we go away. Avoiding a girlfriend never works, especially if you have been dating this girl for quite some time and she knows your friends, family, coworkers and other personal things. She will call or visit your friends or family to see why she has not heard from you. Some may call this stalkerish, but it’s the man’s fault. Again, be a man, and just break up instead of stringing her along.
3. By Just Showing Up With Another Woman
This happens fairly often when a couple runs with the same crowd. Showing up at a party or a bar with another girl without actually breaking up with your current girlfriend is plain wrong. Especially if you know your current girlfriend will be there or her friends will be there. This will only cause a fight and a scene that is better left avoided in public. Don’t embarrass your ex like that, since at one time you did have feelings for her and cared about her.
4. While At a Family Function
Never use a family function such as a wedding, graduation party, family reunion, or holiday party to break up with your girlfriend. Either find a way to do before the function or wait till the next day or so when the event is over. This just shows poor taste when you choose to break up with a girlfriend with all of her family or friends around.
5. Have Someone Else Tell Her It’s Over
This is another instance of when a man has to be an actual man and do it for himself. The only person that should ever tell your girlfriend that your relationship is over, is you. Don’t ask your buddy to it for you or tell her friend to tell her. Just tell her yourself and be honest.
Guys, show women a little respect and have some kind of sensitivity and don’t use any of these methods to break up with a girlfriend.
