Some men think that once they land the woman and start dating her, that they can put less effort into into the relationship. That is the farthest thing from the truth. Just because you are dating, doesn’t mean that you can slack off or take advantage of the situation.
On the other hand, some men just can’t figure out women and it may be hard for them to keep a relationship with a woman. Here are 5 little things that men should know when they are dating a woman.

1. You Don’t Always Have To Pay For Everything
Women do like it when you pamper us and pay for things, but it’s not necessary all the time. If a woman has her own job and can support herself, then by all means allow her to pay for dinner every once in awhile. Or let her get the tickets to the movie if she wants to pay. If she offers to pay every once in awhile, let her. Now, this doesn’t mean that you should take advantage of a woman and let her pay for everything. The man should still pay for the majority of things, but if a woman offers to pay, let her.
2. Call When You Say You Will
Not calling when you say you will is a bad, bad thing. Not only does it show her that you don’t have the time for her, but is also says that you don’t respect her enough to follow through on what you said you were going to do. Emergencies will arrive and if it happens once, it can be forgivable. But, if you constantly do this, expect the woman to not stand for it and you soon will be seeing the door out of the relationship. So, if you say you are going to call the next day and you don’t call till three days later, expect the woman to basically have written you off already.
3.We Love Presents
Now, this may seem shallow, but it really isn’t. It all goes back to being romantics. Presents don’t always have to mean flowers or jewelry. A present could mean a poem that you wrote for her. A present could be a back rub after a long day. That’s what many men don’t understand about women. It’s not always about big and extravagant material objects. Simple things like a back rub or you making dinner go a long way with a woman and shows her that you really care for her.
4. We Want To Spend Time With You
If you find that you are spending more time with your friends than you are with your girlfriend, then there is a definite problem. Women want to spend time with their men. If you are choosing buddies over a girlfriend, I can tell you that the relationship is not going to last very long. This doesn’t mean that you have to spend every waking moment with your girlfriend. Look at it this way, if you are hanging with your buddies 2 nights a week and with your girlfriend only once a week, you can only expect her to say “Goodbye” to you.
5. Compromise Is Key
When choosing activities for dates or anything else that you may share with your girlfriend, remember to compromise. A women should not always get her way and a man shouldn’t always get what he wants. Instead meet in the middle. If she agrees to go to a baseball game with you, then the least you can do is go with her to her family function the next weekend. When a relationship is too one-sided it just doesn’t work.
Remember these tips when dating and you may just be able to see your girlfriend in a better perspective.
