Although this movie is targeted to women, men will enjoy it as well. First of all it has a 1966 Thunderbird convertible in it. Secondly it features guns and a car chase. After shooting a man who tries to rape Thelma, the girls make a run for it as police chase them down. Women enjoy the girl sisterhood theme as guys watch for the action and love scene.
3. How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days
This movie appeals to men since it takes an ironic approach to a relationship that looks at it from a women’s point of view as well as a man’s. Men will enjoy the humor of the movie and can relate to the men’s point of view. While women will also enjoy the humor and the love story of what happens when you fall in love with someone when that wasn’t supposed to happen.
4. An Officer and a Gentleman
This movie not only has a love story to it, but it also has some great boot camp scenes as well as a relationship among two male friends. Men will enjoy the military aspect of the movie, while women will swoon over Richard Gere as he plays out the love story with Debra Winger’s character.
5. When Harry Met Sally
This movie is really for both sexes, but it can come off as a definite chick flick. It follows the lives of two longtime friends as they try to decide if their relationship should go to the next level. Each one goes through other boyfriends and girlfriends as their friendship grows. The characters played by Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan bring humor and good jokes to the movie, making it enjoyable for men.
