Yeah, you read it right! Don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with your eyes or your brain, indeed it is possible to delete the precious data from a stolen PC with the help of the powerful Fujitsu notebook security solution. Once upon a time it was hard to get rid of the data even after all the hard work by deleting it with CRTL+ALT+DEL, as several data-recovery solutions could back them up, and re-store. But, gone are those days and now you can even delete your private data without the need of laptop being turned on.
In recent times, people have not only lost their notebook but also some very confidential data, and its leakage has turned out to be even more disastrous than loss of the notebook. Hence, Fujitsu has decided to incorporate this powerful feature, which will allow you to silently delete the important data via the Willcom’s PHS network.
Willcom has made it possible to conceal the data completely, and now the corporate users need not bother about preserving the data, should things go wrong in an unlikely case. In order to be able to do this, you must have pre-embedded the module on to the notebook or your traveler netbook.
Once that is done, you can erase all the data on your laptop, with the click of a button, but you must obviously be within the coverage area of PHS communications. However, the fact that it can get rid of the dangerous confidential info from a switched off laptop, is an achievement in itself.
This solution will be implemented in all the upcoming Fujitsu notebooks/netbooks, and they’ll be available by the end of the year. As far as pricing is concerned, surely you may need to shred off few extra bucks that would assure mental peace, and high security of your data.
