Dishwasher That Washes Dishes With Air
Monday, June 8th, 2009

Hwang Jin Wooks designed the latest model of dishwashers, but this is not just another dishwasher, as it is capable of washing your dishes with air. Yes, you read it right - in this innovative dishwasher, dishes are cleaned by blowing up the air that expels away all the food particles deposited on the dishes. The concept by Electrolux is used in this cool dishwasher.
As far as the working of the dishwasher is concerned, it uses steam, ultraviolet rays and air with high pressure. The air coming with high pressure cleans the dishes, then dishes are degreased by using steam, and finally to clean up the dishes thoroughly, ultraviolet rays are used.
A little quantity of water is used to form up steam where the water is recycled. As the water is recycled, no wastage of water occurs, and this is an additional attractive feature of the dishwasher, making it eco-friendly.
However, the downside of this impressive dishwasher is that it can wash only two dishes at a time. Therefore, since it can wash just two at a time, it is not suitable for utensils such as big bowls, pots or pans etc. The design by Hwang Jin Hook is good for cleaning the small dishes but not for handling all the other utensils. So, probably it would be better to redesign the washer so that all the dishes may get cleaned with one machine wash, and this would basically allow the users to use it for taking care of other bigger utensils at a time, like the pots, pans and bowls.
As of now, the pricing as well as the availability of this air dishwasher is not known yet!
