World of Warcraft

We’ve seen video games on TV commercials before. Throughout the years most of these games have been on the various game consoles that you can purchase. These have been from Nintendo to the latest Playstation 3. Lately World of Warcraft is the latest game that has announced itself to a television audience. The difference is a few things with this game. First you play World of Warcraft on the computer instead of a console. Also the game has been out for a few years now. This means they are not looking for an opening weekend boom. They are trying to add to their monthly service to play the game. You can even get the game for free and have ten free days to try it out. So is it worth the time for regular people. We’ve all heard of the stories of crazy people being engulfed by the game.
Over 4.5 million people have already made a resounding yes to Blizzard the maker of the game. Every month these people pay the fee to continue on in the online world. So what makes it so exciting to them?
Well first World of Warcraft was built on the Warcraft series that has released three games to get people familiar with the settings. This led many of the first people to the game.
The game is based in a 3D environment that is placed in the World of Azeroth. It is said to be the largest virtual world ever created. When you start off you get to create a character from 8 races and 9 classes. You can change every detail of each character from their face, eyes, size, and even the color of the character. Yes the name too.
Once you are in you are thrown into a world that has two feuding factions the Horde and the Alliance. Once in the game you choose the profession. This lets you play the game you want to play. Not everyone wants to be a warrior and Blizzard has noticed this.
One thing that gets most people going is being able to kill other players. This also turns off many players also. Warcraft has servers that are for player versus players and others that are not. So if you are looking for a battle you can be in the fray fast.
Blizzard also updates the game on a regular basis to keep people coming back. New quests and items mean that you never have finished the game.
World of Warcraft might have the longest lasting power than any game that ever hits the market. With constant updates and a new fan it doesn’t look to fad anytime soon. You even see people selling off characters and items for real money. How crazy is that?
So for a free trial World of Warcraft is worth a try. You might find yourself in a world that takes up more of your time than you could ever imagine. Just don’t forget to check on the outside world once in a while.
