There are plenty of common myths that men have about women that are completely not true. Somehow these myths keep getting passed on to more and more men and it is time to set the record straight. Here are a few common myths about women with the truth revealed.

Women only like the bad boys and the nice guy never gets the girl.
There may be some women who are only attracted to the bad boys or the macho men, but those are the girls who get their heartbroken all the time. The common woman would love a nice guy. Why would we want a guy who would put us down or treat us bad? Why would a woman want a guy that would potentially cheat on her? There is that appeal to bad boys, as there is just something about them that does attract women. But, those type of men don’t ever really get the woman for keeps. If you want to find a great woman for a long term relationship, don’t act like the macho bad boy.
Not all older women want a younger guy.
You have most likely heard the word cougar before. This refers to a woman who is significantly older than the man she is dating. We are talking anywhere from 8-20 year age gaps. Not all woman are like this. In fact, most women want a guy that is their age or even older. Men mature slower than women, so most women don’t want to have to deal with an immature guy. So, if you see a woman who is older than, don’t just assume that she is going to be all over you just because you are 10 years younger than her. Cougars are the minority with women.
Women will always tell you want they want and how they feel.
This is a pretty big misconception about women. We all know that most men have a hard time sharing their true feelings and what they want, but the truth is most women are the same way. This doesn’t mean that all women are like this, as you may have dated a woman who all she wanted to do was talk about her feelings. Most women will have a hard time opening up until they completely trust you and even then we still have problems with certain things. Some women don’t open up completely because they want to make their man happy. Other woman just have issues with trust. So if you ask your girl if everything is okay and she responds, “yes” don’t automatically assume it is, especially if she seems different to you.

Good article. From my personal observations, it seems that at a young age, girls prefer the ‘bad boys’. Maybe it’s to rebel against their parents or just the rush of being young and fearless. But as they grow older and mature, they’re over that phase and start looking for Mr. Right, the straight up, hard working, loyal future husband.

That’s a very good observation. I have also noticed the same thing in men as well as women. And it’s really a typical pattern across young in all species to be attracted to more daring individuals and activities and for it to mellow down later in life.
