The Top 5 Things That Women Want From Men

It may surprise quite a few men what women really want from men. It’s definitely not all about the material things like jewelry and flowers.
Here are the top 5 things that women want from men when they are involved in a serious and long term relationship.
1. Be Romantic
Women don’t want to be treated like one of your friends. We want to feel special and we want you to sweep us off our feet. You don’t have to do it everyday, but surprise your girlfriend or wife every once in awhile with a romantic gesture like dinner for two or leave her card before she goes to work telling her how much you love her. Women need small romantic gestures of your love just to be reminded that you do care and love for her.
2. Be Able To Hold a Conversation
There is nothing worse than trying to talk to a man and it feels like you are trying to pull teeth. Women like to talk, even if it is about trivial stuff. So, indulge your woman and actually hold on a conversation with her. Most importantly, if she is trying to talk to you about something important, like your relationship or something that is going on in her life, you better be paying attention and actually add to the conversation instead of just grunting or nodding your head.
3. Sympathy
If your girlfriend had a bad day at work or had a fight with her mother, she wants your sympathy about it. She doesn’t want you to solve her problems, but just be sympathetic of her. Just listen to her and tell her that you understand and that you care for her. Don’t offer your advice, as you most likely will be putting your foot in your mouth and may then make her mad at you also.
4. Appreciation
Women need to be appreciated every once in awhile. Tell your girlfriend or wife that you appreciate all that she does for you. Or if she goes out of her way to do something for you, let her know that you appreciate it. You have to actually say the words, as that is what she wants to hear from you. We don’t do things for our men just for appreciation, but we also don’t like to be taken for granted when we actually do things for you guys.
5. Pick Up After Yourself
We are not your mothers nor your maids. We absolutely do not want to be picking up after you on a constant basis. It’s just common courtesy to pick up the clothes that you took off and put them in the hamper, or to wash your plate off when you are done eating. If you use it, put it away. Even women who are not neat freaks, still don’t want you messy things cluttering the home.
It is really not that hard to make a woman happy. We are simple creatures that simple want you to be there for us. Follow these five things and you will be golden with your woman.

Very good tips for every man to abide by. I think one of the biggest things many fail to realize is to just simply listen to their partner once in a while.
If you notice, four of these five things (not #5) have a common theme which revolves around emotions and feelings. Most men seem to miss that critical theme which can be mistaken as not caring. I just think men are wired differently and its the source of many disagreements.
