Facebook offers a new inbox and Persian support
Saturday, June 20th, 2009

Well, the Facebook users have not really been too happy with the over-clogged inbox, but you don’t expect the makers of Facebook to sit quite and let their efforts go in vain. So, they’ve starting developing a revamped inbox, which will just get better with an added support for Persian language.
The new Facebook inbox is expected to be the much-needed relief featuring an advanced filter at the top of the page, wherein it would allow you to tap in a friend’s name or any keyword for that matter.
It will also bring updates under a different tab, from the pages that you’ve subscribed to.
Moreover, there’s some exciting news for the Persian users, as Facebook has decided to launch a Persian version (translated version) of the network’s interface. However, it would be interested to see the response, especially after Iran recently blocked usage of Facebook throughout the nation due to the elections.
Now, with the revived inbox, few other minor upgrades and the Persian version to be rolled out in another couple of weeks, Facebook would be surely eyeing something big here.
As a matter of fact, something really interesting here is the craze of Persian language. Off-late Twitter and Google have added Persian support to their portfolio, as Google added Persian language to their language translator tool, while Twitter has already done exactly what Facebook plans on doing this week. Probably the Persian audience has not yet been strongly targeted by any of the big guns as well as the social networking platforms, and everyone is eyeing them simultaneously. Anyway, it is a welcome sign for the Persian Facebook, Twitter and Google users, and a big relief for the worldwide Facebook users.
