Will Apple whitewash all the hypes of the Storm 2?

It has been quite sometime that the Storm 2 was announced but there are no signs of the launch of the badly-awaited Storm sequel. However, Apple has already taken another big step forth, by introducing the iPhone 3G S, which not only cleans up all the missing link in the iPhone 3G, but also brings about a serious improvement in the speed as well.
So, by launching the iPhone 3G S, Apple has put salt and pepper on the wounds of the loyal Blackberry fans, who were expecting something similar from Blackberry-RIM collaboration too. They had to badly wait for the .141 upgrade for ages together, and off-late they finally received it (that too not in a completely convincing manner).
Probably Apple is trying to target these irritated, impatient and rather frustrated Blackberry users, who might think now that they’d be better off buying the iPhone 3G S, rather than waiting anymore for Blackberry Storm 2.
Moreover, Blackberry and RIM have not really been able to keep up to their words in recent times, so everyone knows for sure that the chances of Storm 2 hitting the market so early are almost next to zero.
In 2009, Blackberry has announced too many things, and given high hopes, but they’ve miserably failed to live up to the expectations of their fans, and to materialise on any of those promises in a timely fashion.
On the other hand, Apple has been releasing constant updates for iPhone 3G, which had so many missing features like lack of video recorder & MMS, poor camera clarity (2MP) etc. But, they’ve achieved 1 billion download just due to good service, the power of App store and regular OS dates. Now they’ve fixed everything and come-out with the new all iPhone 3GS, so let’s see how badly that impacts the Blackberry/RIM business.
