Sounds simply crazy, isn’t it? Don’t believe your eyes? Well, you’ve read it absolutely right. Here’s the world’s first-ever 32GB DDR3 unveiled by Samsung, who bags huge credit for this tremendous effort.
People had never ever though about more than 4GB RAMs a few years back, but suddenly things have changed so fast, as the 4GB, 8GB and finally the 16GB RAMs were introduced by various industry leaders.
Dell had also announced a laptop featuring the massive 16GB DDR3 RAM, but nobody had ever dreamt of a 32gig DDR3 to be announced this year by any means.
This piece of news has come as a complete shocker, because nobody really expected Samsung to do this. Samsung has been an experienced player in the market of the SSDs, but this time around they’ve decided to change things a bit.
These 32GB DDR3 RAMs will be incorporated in server systems, and they will operate at 1.35-volts. This will also mean reduced electric consumption, apart from the massive boost in the memory, so the chances are high that this amazing discovery will also ring a bell in the ears of the tech geeks who’re always on a look out for the fastest solution for their heavy duty computing machines.
There’s absolutely no idea about what kind of price tags these 32GB monstrous DDR3 RAMs will really bear will, but they’re expected to be rolled out in the market by this year end.
They will be based on Samsung’s 50nm class 4 GB DDR3 RAMs and incorporate 72 units of such 4GB DDR3 chip dies. No wonder, the end result will be simply scintillating.
