Inexpensive Date Ideas
Tuesday, August 4th, 2009
Women expect men to take them out on dates even if we are going through a recession and you may not have that much money to your name right now. The thing that most men don’t realize is that not all dates have to be expensive. Here are some awesome inexpensive date ideas. (Some are even free).
*Visit the local park. If you want you can pack an inexpensive picnic lunch or dinner of sandwiches, salads, or just some cheese and crackers with fruit. Bring a Frisbee, a baseball, a big kickball, or even your bikes to have fun at the park. Basically you can act like you are kids again and have a great time while not spending money. If you want something a little more romantic try a stroll through the part around dusk or a picnic dinner when the sun is setting.
*If you live near a beach, then you have a cheap date right around the corner. This can be a day date and have fun at the beach. This can also be a romantic nighttime date with dinner, the sun setting into the ocean and a picnic blanket.
*Rent a movie instead of going to the movie theater. It can cost you over $25 for just two people to go see a movie at a theater and that is not even counting popcorn and drinks. Instead, stay in for the night and rent a classic or one of the new releases. You can even splurge and go to your grocery store and pick up a box of popcorn for $2.
*Check to see if you have any museums in your are or in a big city around you that offers free admission. Some museums are free anytime and others may only have certain times or days that they are free.
*Don’t go out to a restaurant, but get to know each other a little better by cooking together. You can save a bunch of money by cooking your own dinner and also you can spend some quality time getting to know each other and talking. It also shows how well the two of you can work together. This is also a fun alternative to just one person cooking.
*Take an ice cream social date. Splurge for some ice cream and act like you are young kids again. This offers a great way to enjoy a favorite pastime and go somewhere you can actually talk to each other.
*If the both of you love to exercise, why not take up running or hiking. You exercise together, as it is usually a lot more fun to exercise with another person than alone. This may not sound like a date, but anytime that you are spending time together just the two of you, it is a date!
*Get some coffee and chill. Most cities have some sort of local coffee place that may have live music or entertainment. These places are much cheaper than hanging out at a bar or going to a concert. If you don’t have a coffee place that has entertainment, then you can still just have a nice peaceful time drinking some coffee or tea and talking.
