The minute that you finally commit to a girl and start a relationship it seems like every single girl that you come across seems to have an interest in you now. Or maybe, you just got married and now he have women hitting on you more than when you used to be single. For some odd reasons, women like men who are spoken for. So, what gives? Why is the minute that you are finally taken by a woman it seems like every other woman comes out of the woodwork and wants all of sudden shows interest? Here are some reasons why.
Women Want What They Can’t Have
It’s a fact that women want what they can’t have. We all remember Adam and Eve and The Garden of Eden, right? Off limits men are not the only things that woman lust after. We want clothes we can’t afford, handbags we can’t afford, and especially men that are now off limits.
Women like a Challenge
A guy that has a girlfriend or a wife comes across as a challenge for some other women. They may think that they are just as good as or better than the man’s girlfriend or wife, so why shouldn’t they have him. They see it as a challenge to steal him away if only for a short period. This doesn’t necessarily mean that they want to date the guy; they just want to hear that won and the guy has a thing for them.
Women Think Men in Relationships Are Safe
Women may start out thinking that a guy in a relationship is the perfect guy to get advice from and make friends with, but we have all seen romantic comedies in which these things don’t end very well. The woman soon finds that she is falling for this so-called friend after spending so much time with him. Most of the time in the end the guy must choose between his current woman his newfound friend.
Women Can be Bullies
There are always going to be those types of women who just want a taken man to screw over other women. These are the same girls who used to bully others back in elementary school and were the same ones that went on to be total witches in high school. They basically see any other woman as competition. This is especially true if the woman doesn’t like your girlfriend or wife and really has a personal vendetta against her.
Women See the Confidence in Taken Men
You know that once you get a girlfriend and you don’t have to look around every place that you walk into for all the single ladies, you exude confidence. It is no mystery, that women are attracted to confident men. Men who are already in a relationship don’t have to worry about impressing others or acting like he has game. Instead he acts like himself and that can really attract other women.
Although these are all reasons why women are attracted to men who are already spoken for, the most common reasons are that women want a challenge and they want what they can’t have. This means that just because some girl is coming on to you because she knows that you have a girlfriend doesn’t necessarily mean that she actually wants you or wants to date you. Realize this before you throw your current relationship away.

As a man, I really enjoyed reading this article. While I’m perfectly heterosexual, I’ve never had a relationship, even though I’m decently attractive and outgoing. Maybe my standards are too high or something but I’m willing to wait. But this attitude gives me the confidence you mention of since I’m not in a rush.

I think it all goes back to wanting to pass down your genes. If there is ever a time when men are fewer than women, a woman wants to be confident that she can get men over other women, who will be her competition.

While I can agree with certain levels of social etiquette which might have slight variations between genders, true “treatment” should not be as different as it is. We should, as you say, base our treatment of people on their individual qualities… Thanks…
