Card counting with iPhone
Saturday, February 21st, 2009
Casinos around the world now have a pretty good reason to ban iPhone from their premise, welcome to the world of 21. But you don’t need to be a MIT graduate to master card counting, for as little as $2.49 you can buy the iPhone app directly from iTunes. Australian Travis Yates, the creator of Blackjack Card Counter, has noticed an increased of sales, usually on the borderline of 10 copies per day, jumped to over 500+ per day after CNN picked up the story. A big thank you to Nevada Gaming Control board for bringing the news to their attention.
Usage is pretty easy, the player just need to know where to tap on the iPhone screen (which can be operated under stealth mode in the player’s pocket) and the device will vibrate when it’s time to place a bet. A word of caution though, don’t make funny faces when the phone vibrates, casino operators will throw out anyone caught counting card!
