Living With Anxiety?

We have all come across at someone saying that he needs to put down a few shots of vodka since he has been feeling anxious throughout the day. Agreed, that such situations are bound to come up for most of us as our jobs and daily lives become increasingly demanding. However, not many of us realise that there is a huge difference between sporadic anxiety that comes along with stressful circumstances and anxiety that could become a part of who you are.
Yes, few people realize or just don’t care to look around and notice that how many of their colleagues and friends keep popping these ‘mild’ sedatives that have been prescribed by their doctors or sometimes by a common friend. Even fewer people realize that men who have been using these pills without proper medical advice are straining their minds and eventually their entire cardiovascular system towards an early mishap. Anxiety is supposed to be a natural reaction to situations that make us feel a bit nervous or apprehensive. But sometimes, it just refuses to go away. It is not just career-obsessed men in their mid-20s who prone to developing it, even school students can exhibit symptoms of developing a lifelong anxiety-prone condition.
Left without the treatment of a certified mental care professional, anxiety makes you more vulnerable towards developing grave phobias and panic attacks. Even intestinal disorders like IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) have been linked with anxious personalities. Those suffering from it have to address the problem themselves. Anyone who has been suffering from a nervous stomach that acts up every time a stressful situation emerges or has episodes of heavy sweating and trembling at the very mention of something that is deemed dreadful, has invariably already fallen into the trap of anxiety ruining the quality of their lives.
Are you doing anything about your anxiety?
