Nano: Officially, Cheapest Car In The World
Friday, March 27th, 2009

Technology is undoubtedly moving ahead at rapid pace but the luxurious taste of technology is sometimes limited to only the upper strata of the people. However, all this has changed with introduction of The Tata Nano, the leading automobile manufacturing company in India.
It is priced around 1400 pounds and is officially the world’s cheapest car with the features which are yet to receive real feedback and reviews, which will only be possible after the vehicle hits the city roads. However, features which Nano has, appear good and seem value for money on the face of it.
It has 33bhp petrol engine with dual cylinders and is only 3 meters long. It has the capacity to accommodate 4 heads comfortably and it can reach up to 65 miles per hours, which is good enough for city drive.

It can be very easily guessed that at this price you won’t be able to enjoy the luxury of airbags, air conditioning or power steering at the basic low end model. Nano, after its official launch in India has created a stir among the world’s population and at this price, the dream of having a car by the bourgeoisie can easily be fulfilled now.
Nano has become an international sensation now with an audience across borders , eagerly waiting to get seated in the driver seat and enjoy the ride in this eco-friendly light weight car. The only problem that the company might face is the low production output which is only 50,000 units at the moment and till next couple of years, there seems to be no hope of increased productions as well.

This is a great initiative taken by the company, especially in India where many people have to get by on 2-wheelers for the most part. This car costs about the same as a couple of scooters so it’s a great bargain. And the mileage should probably be very good making it the closest thing to being a car for the masses yet.
