Chivalry Is Not Dead

With so many woman claiming that they are independent and that they don’t need men to do things for them, some men may get confused about what they should and should not do for women. Well, I am here to say that chivalry is not dead. Yes, there may be some women who don’t want you to do things for her at all, but most women, still love it when a guy shows how chivalrous he is. The key to chivalry now is to keep it geared towards the modern woman. Some things that maybe your dad did for your mom 30 years ago to win her over, are not the same things the modern woman wants. Here are some excellent ways to prove to women that chivalry is not dead.
If the weather is bad outside, there are a couple of things that you can do to show how chivalrous you are. If she doesn’t have a jacket or is still cold, offer her your jacket to wear. If it is raining outside, hold the umbrella for her over her head, even if you end up getting wet. The best way to deal with bad weather is to be her chauffeur and pick her up at the curb or door so she doesn’t have to brave the elements. This shows that you are willing to make her comfortable no matter what the odds are against you.
When going out on dates, be sure that you pick her up, in your car. Don’t make the woman drive all the time. Instead, be chivalrous and pick her up in your car. Also, don’t just honk your horn when you arrive. Get out of the car, ring the doorbell and actually go get her and walk her to the car. If you really want to show her that chivalry is not dead, then you can open the door for her. A little warning though, do this once for her and see what her reaction is. If she smiles and says thank you, then you can continue doing this for her, but if she rolls her eyes or tells you that you don’t have to do that, then don’t do it again, it may make her uncomfortable.
One chivalrous deed that has not gone out of style is holding the door for a woman. This can be done for any woman, not just a date or girlfriend. If you see a woman walking out a place, get the door for her. It’s just the nice gentleman thing to do. It shows respect and that you go out of your way to be helpful to people. Don’t be awkward about it though, if you can’t get to the door in time to open and hold it for her, don’t plow her over just to get the door. This motion should come natural to you.
Some other simple chivalrous deeds are:
*Walking on the side of your woman close to the street. This makes a woman feel safer and also you are the one that will get splashed by puddles and not her.
*Introduce your woman to people that you know by her name. Let her know that she is important and you are not embarrassed of her.
*Hold her hand when you are walking next to each other. Not only does it show affection, but it also shows you are protecting her.
