Having a Blast at the Beach

With winter ending and spring and summer coming up, the beach once again becomes a big attraction for most groups of people. Let’s go over the proper etiquette for a beach day. I think most men realize that Speedos are not appropriate beachwear for men and if you didn’t, well then this article might not be enough to help you. Beaches are probably the only place men can wear tank tops so you should enjoy the freedom. Board shorts are the only appropriate swim wear for one to wear also.
When preparing to go to the beach you should know the local alcohol policy at the beach. Most beaches do not allow alcohol in the vicinity. Of course we can get around this. If beer is your choice of alcohol using cups on the beach will cover you up correctly. Unless you are acting like jerks, nobody is going to come and sniff a red solo cup. When liquor is your drink for the day it is advisable to premix the drink before heading to the beach. This will help you out twofold by allowing you to carry less to the beach and now nobody knows what you are drinking.
When at the beach you are going to need somewhere to sit. Now I know you are going to see plenty of women and men using towels on the beach. I have never found this comfortable. I have purchased a beach chair that fits into the trunk of my car. This way I am able to always be ready to go. They are cheap enough that you can put one in the trunk and be ready to go. Also if it comes with a bag, that bag is a great way to store your wallet and phone on the go. You can try the towel routine but I bet after you go to a chair you will never go back.
No what are you going to do at the beach? Sitting there and tanning probably does not sound like a great afternoon. For surfer and water sports guys, the answer is easy. For most men bringing a football to the beach is entertaining. The one issue with this is that most women won’t get involved so you are just throwing a ball around when a bunch of near naked women are around.
Obviously we can see that this needs to be fixed. So what do we need to do? There are many games that can be taken down to the beach. Look into games that are used in tailgating. These are the games that are easily transported for players to enjoy. Also many people already have these games ready to move. Examples of these games are horseshoes, ghetto golf and washers. These games get both the women and men involved in the game.
Now you have something to drink, a place to sit and something to do what else are we missing? Music is the key. Don’t go blasting crazy hard core music all over the beach. But nobody will complain with a little Sublime or Roots hitting the air.
Now you are ready to get your butt to the beach for the summer.
